Medical Community and Medical Student Community Leadership Grants

Eligible Applicants: TMAF accepts applications from county medical societies, alliance and medical student chapters

About the Program. Each year from eligible applicants for community health improvement programs. Society and alliance chapters may apply for up to $7,500 in matching funds from the TMAF Medical Community Grant Program and medical student chapters may apply for up to $3,000 in matching funds from the TMAF Medical Student Community Leadership Grants Program. 

Application Process. Submitting an application is a two-step process. Before an application can be started, each applicant must complete the "Letter of Inquiry" (LOI) in the Grant Portal to confirm eligibility for this program. LOI's MUST be submitted 15 days before the Application Deadline.

Deadlines:

  • First Round (Funding 50% Awarded in Oct 2026; 50% in April 2027)
    • July 16 LOI
    • July 31 Full Application
     
  • First Round (Funding 50% Awarded in Feb 2027; 50% in Aug. 2027)
    • Nov. 1 LOI
    • Nov. 15 Full Application
