In response to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention efforts for states to consistently report incidences of the West Nile Virus, the committee prepared a letter for the Texas Medical Association to send to blood collection agencies. The letter gave contact information and specifications on how the cases should be reported and appears to have assisted in getting more accurate data to the CDC.
