"I drafted a resolution
for TexMed 2024 to get TMA support for recognition of alternate ongoing board
certification in Texas. I learned a lot through the process, from starting a
draft in the first place, navigating existing policies and getting shot down by
my own delegation when I went for support. However, I kept my head up, didn't
take any of it personally and ultimately got a lot of support in favor of my
proposal. I was able to build confidence in my ability to network for support,
listen to opposing views on the matter and practice speaking
publicly on something I believe in."
